Finished Size: 104″ x 104″ Shimmering Dawn rises like the first light over still waters—radiant, expansive, and full of promise.
This 104″ square quilt is a masterwork of paper-pieced precision, designed as a 12-month Block of the Month (BOM) journey for experienced quilters.
Foundation fabrics from Island Batik lend a luminous depth to each diamond-shaped starburst, with rich gradients and vibrant contrasts that echo the brilliance of a morning sky.
The composition unfolds in layered symmetry, with central and satellite motifs radiating outward in a dance of color and geometry.
Whether stitched month by month or all at once, Shimmering Dawn rewards patience and artistry with a quilt that feels both timeless and transcendent—a true statement piece for those who love bold design and meticulous craftsmanship.
